You can get access to remote servers by using VPN networks. You can use a VPC on your iPad by going to Settings, Network, and then turning on the VPN. If you are tired of being prompted to join various Wi-Fi networks, change your settings. There is a tab you can select to stop your iPad from asking you to join networks. Once set to no, you won't be nagged again.

If you have safety concerns should your iPad fall into the wrong hands, set the password to delete your personal data if someone enters the wrong password over and over. All of your data will disappear if someone makes ten failed attempts to enter the password.

To keep your personal data secure in case you are concerned about unauthorized access you can configure your password so that all data will be deleted after a specified number of unsuccessful tries. This will erase everything on your phone if someone has not figured out the code after 10 tries.

Does the battery percentage indicator drive you crazy? This can be simply turned off. Start out in the Settings menu. Locate the Usage setting under the General settings. You can quickly turn on or off the battery display.

You will find that iPads now have an easy way to be muted. As you might know, previous iPad versions did not have this capability. Previously, you could use the lock switch to either mute the audio or lock the orientation. Now, you can quickly mute your iPad by holding the "down" half of the volume button.

If you ever need to mute the sound on an iPad, you should try this tip. Simply hold the volume down button for a couple of seconds. You can pull this off faster than trying to fumble with the volume button each time you want to mute. When ready for original volume level, simply hold the button down again.

Set up your FaceTime emails and phone numbers. The email that was used to set up the iPad will be used by default on FaceTime, but it is possible to add others. To add more emails or phone numbers to FaceTime, utilize the settings on iPad.

Your pages can be synced with iTunes to share documents with a Mac or PC. Sharing the documents you have isn't that big of a deal anymore because there's the ability for iTunes to work with any platform. Also, you can track and view your PDFs with ease.
